Indigo Dyeing Experience, Stopping at a Roadside Station, Looking at Prisons, and Warehouses on Stilts.

更新日:

This time, we headed to "Roadside Station: Onsen no Sato Kamiyama. The location was rather far from Naruto, Itano, and Kamiita, but we did our best to drive around on the mountain roads.

I arrived safely and explored the area, but the only impressions that remained were that the restrooms were clean and that there was an "irasshaimase" (welcome). (For some reason, people do not say "irasshai-mase" at roadside stations in the mountains. I was so depressed that I wondered if they didn't like me as soon as I entered the store…)

Also, there was a cicada perched on an austere wooden sign, which was very summery.

So, we made a U-turn to look at the river in the backcountry further.

On the move, I found a sign for Tokushima Prison, so I went up to the front.

Isn't it amazing? There's a place called Sashire-ya right outside the prison grounds. I was very curious, but there was no sign of anyone, so I gave up and made a U-turn.

On my way home, I stopped by the "Awa Historical Park" in Kokufu-cho. There are actual buildings (reproductions) of buildings that I had learned about in history class, such as stilt houses.

I've never been here before, but it's quite atmospheric. I thought I could go inside, but I had to leave because there were strange insects flying around and putting up a barrier.

Also, the restrooms were cool and made of stone, and there was a sign that said beware of wild boars. They come down from the mountains quite often.

I was exhausted after walking a lot, so I quietly headed home. But in my mind, I was excited about where we would go tomorrow.
