I, who was born and raised in Tokushima, enjoyed sightseeing in Tokushima alone.

Pissing boy at the highest point in Japan

In Iya there is the highest pissing boy in Japan.

But we had a hard time getting there. Hoping that no oncoming cars would come, we continued on the narrow mountain road. It was only about five kilometers away, but it felt like a very long time.

And then I found "Piss Piss Kid"! It's up so high!
I took pictures of the urinal boy from various angles!
By the way, the guy who modeled this pissing boy was featured on Night Scoop or something a few years ago.

Roadside station, stop by and visit

Now, since we had come all the way to the western part of the prefecture, let's visit some rarely seen spots. First, we went to "Nishiiya," a roadside station that we had passed on the way there. Inside the extremely quiet store, vegetables from the area of origin, delicious handmade miso, soba noodles, etc. were sold. You can eat inside, but I had just eaten soba (buckwheat noodles), so I passed it up.

A little further on, there is the roadside station "Oboke Lapis Oboke". It has been successful in revitalizing the village with yokai, and is also a yokai spot authorized by Mr. Shigeru Mizuki of GeGeGeGe no Kitaro fame. There is a small museum, so I bought a ticket and went in.

I probably shouldn't post too much, so I'll just leave it at that.

While looking at souvenirs, I found a limited edition sake at Oboke Roadside Station, so I bought it as a Father's Day gift. The package is quite nice.
