Ochiai Pass Refuge Hut
Then go to …….
There it is!
There are quite a few more stone statues in a row than I expected, which is quite impressive.
Wandering around the area, I found what looked like an explanatory note.
I see.
In summary, the stone statues seem to have been created by local Ochiai villagers to wish for the traffic safety and happiness of people passing through the mountain pass. The name of the statues is "Touge Daishi. We also learned that this area is said to have the best silver grass in western Japan.
I see. I'll have to come back here in the fall.
Collaboration of stone statues, moss and sunlight is sneaky lol.
The rest of the day would be nice with a little fog. It will be hard to come here, though. It's at a high altitude here, so we might be able to see a sea of clouds.
At the end, I saw something that looked like it had been burned, and I asked myself, "What is this?" but this adventure ended without my noticing anything in particular or arriving at an answer.
After that, it was just me going back the way I came.
