Entry No. 1: Black garlic from Awa City
Let's start with this guy.
Black garlic is broken down from the clusters and packed with the skin on.
I really appreciate the zip-lock bags. I think I can keep them in good condition.
Now, here is what I peeled off the skin.
Looks like a prune. Now, let's have it!
Food notes by Diceke Tokushima
Texture: Soft, sticky, and smooth on the tongue.
Taste: Gently sweet like a fruit. The soy sauce-like aroma that passes through the nose is strangely appetizing.
Hmmm, delicious. But the garlic aroma is still there, albeit in a more subdued way.
That aside, it's delicious. My body is starting to sweat. I only ate one piece.
Okay, let's go back next time.
Entry No. 2: Black garlic from Tokushima City
These are also placed in containers in the same style as the ones in Awa City.
It's easy to peel the skin off and eat it right away. I can throw it in my mouth just like eating a piece of fruit.
When peeled, it looks like this. Compared to Awa City, it feels much more watery.
Now, let's eat it.
Notes by Diceke Tokushima
Texture: Fresh and meltingly soft. It melts just by rolling it on the tongue, without chewing.
Taste: Not only the appearance, but also the fruity and rich sweetness like prunes. The sugar content seems to be quite high.
No, it is delicious. Compared to Awa City's, it feels much sweeter. It is indeed a fruit. However, there is a smell of garlic here, too.
Now that I'm sweating more, let's try the last one.
